Supply chain resilience has become one of the most pressing and complex challenges in recent years, particularly in the wake of COVID-19 and evolving geopolitical developments.
The term “supply chain” encompasses a wide range of challenges. Most commonly, it is understood as the physical flow of resources and products, what typically comes to mind when discussing supply chain disruptions. However, in today’s environment, the supply chain also extends into a virtual domain, i.e., the cyber space, involving multiple partners operating across diverse geographies, jurisdictions, and governance frameworks.
Supply chain disruptions are no longer a rare occurrence – they have become a significant risk for businesses in today’s interconnected global economy. From natural disasters to cyberattacks, the potential threats to supply chains are vast and varied.
We believe that security and cybersecurity must be integrated into routine operational procedure and that operators must be the first line of defense in any security apparatus. ASERO is committed to implementing threat-oriented security solutions to reduce overall risk and protect against plausible threat scenarios in all relevant environments.
We have developed an integrated, risk-based security model designed to streamline all aspects of the supply chain industry. It has been applied to achieve a seamless security, cybersecurity and facilitation process for both existing and new areas of operation.
With over two decades of global experience, our multidisciplinary team of former high-ranking officials from Israel’s security agencies and industry experts and practitioners brings unmatched expertise in safeguarding your supply chain. We integrate security and cybersecurity into everyday operations, ensuring your team is always the first line of defense.
ASERO’s vast experience spans multiple industries, including petrochemicals, energy, manufacturing, and more. We’ve partnered with top organizations like JTC, Mars, AES Corporation, TVS Motor Company, and Seatrium, helping them build resilient supply chains and improve security operations.
In recent years, ASERO undertook a cybersecurity project for a leading global company (the
“Client”) to address IT, OT and IoT supply chain risks, including data leakage, business
continuity, and faulty products, across its global operations.
As part of this project, ASERO worked closely with the Client to categorize all supply chain
suppliers, from different verticals, based on their criticality in relation to these risks. Together,
they developed a structured assessment approach, whereby cybersecurity evaluations were
conducted either on-site or remotely, depending on the level of criticality of the supplier.
ASERO distributed tailored questionnaires to each supplier, assessed their cybersecurity
maturity, conducted the relevant assessments on site or off site, according to criticality and
characteristics, and identified vulnerabilities based on their severity and potential impact.
This was followed by the development of a comprehensive remediation program, with the
option for subsequent on-site or remote audits at the Client’s discretion.
This model proved to be highly efficient and delivered significant value to the Client. It is
particularly well suited for large enterprises with complex IT and OT environments and
extensive supply chains, where disruptions or vulnerabilities may have serious operational
and business consequences.
